§ Terms
Terms and conditions
These terms govern use of the BuyVirtualCards service. They are deliberately written in plain language; that does not make them any less contractual.
Last updated : 2026-08-26
1. Purpose
BuyVirtualCards Technologies provides a service converting crypto-assets into electronic money, backed by virtual payment cards issued by partner electronic money institutions. BuyVirtualCards is not a bank and does not take deposits. As at the date of publication, no issuing agreement has been signed: the service is not open and no card is issued. The names and licence numbers of the issuing institutions will be added to this article as soon as they are signed; as long as they do not appear here, it is because there are none.
2. Eligibility
The service is for adult individuals residing in a served country, not appearing on any international sanctions list, and holding a valid identity document. One account per person. The account is strictly personal and non-transferable.
3. Account access
Account access is protected by a password. You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential. Any operation made from your account is deemed to have been carried out by you.
4. Top-ups
The minimum top-up is 50 USD, the maximum 10,000 USD per operation. The rate is locked for 30 minutes. A transaction sent on a network other than the one shown may be permanently lost; that risk is yours.
5. Irreversibility
A crypto payment confirmed on a blockchain cannot be reversed, by us or by anyone. No right of withdrawal applies to an executed top-up, the service being immediate and fully performed.
6. Fees
Applicable fees are those published on the Pricing page on the date of the operation. Any change is notified at least thirty days in advance. Network fees are paid by you to the chain and do not come to us.
7. Prohibited uses
Prohibited in particular: use of the account by a third party, circumventing limits through multiple accounts, operations linked to illicit activity, and merchant categories excluded by the issuing programme. Breach results in account closure.
8. Suspension and closure
We may suspend an account on reasonable suspicion of fraud or where legally required. You may close yours at any time; the balance is returned by transfer to an account in your name, after verification.
9. Liability
We are answerable for failures attributable to us. We are not answerable for blockchain timings, for refusals decided by a merchant or by the payment network, or for address or network errors made when sending.
10. Complaints
Any complaint should first go to support. Failing a satisfactory reply within two months, you may refer the matter to the competent ombudsman, whose details are in the framework agreement.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by French law. The competent courts are those of the registered office's jurisdiction, subject to applicable consumer protection provisions.
