Refunds & withdrawals
What you can recover, how, and what is not recoverable. Since crypto is irreversible, this page is worth reading before your first top-up rather than after.

Returning your balance
A BuyVirtualCards balance belongs to you and can be returned at any time by transfer to a bank account in your name. Allow three to five working days. Outgoing transfer fees are on the Pricing page.
No return in crypto-assets
Returns are made in fiat currency, never in crypto-assets. We do not custody crypto-assets on your behalf: there is nothing to send back on a chain.
Executed top-up
A confirmed and credited top-up cannot be cancelled. The service is immediate and fully performed, which excludes the right of withdrawal. The amount stays on your balance and can be returned as described above.
Sending on the wrong network
We attempt recovery where technically possible: several working days and a $25 fee, charged only on success. Where the address does not exist on the network used, no recovery is possible, by us or by anyone.
Underpayment and expired invoice
A shortfall of less than 1% is absorbed. Beyond that, or after the 30-minute window expires, the amount actually received is credited after manual review, free of charge, within two working days.
Disputing a card payment
A disputed operation follows the payment network procedure, 30 to 90 days. We do not charge for raising one. Repeated abusive disputes may result in account closure.
Top-up commission
The 1.5% commission is earned as soon as the top-up is credited: the service is performed at that moment. It is not refunded if you subsequently transfer the balance to your bank. There is no subscription that could be refunded pro rata, since there is no subscription.
